Mega Evolution & Max Battles: Comprehensive Mechanics Guide
How to reach Mega Level 3, maximize Candy XL drop rates, and master Max Moves and Dynamax battles at Power Spots.
Mega Levels Breakdown (Level 1, 2, 3) & Candy XL Yields
Mega Evolving once per day levels up your Mega Pokémon:
Base Level (1 evolution): +1 Catch Candy, +50 Catch XP, 7-day free cooldown.
High Level (7 evolutions): +1 Catch Candy, +100 Catch XP, +10% Candy XL chance, 5-day free cooldown.
Max Level (30 evolutions): +2 Catch Candy, +200 Catch XP, +25% MASSIVE Candy XL chance, 3-day free cooldown!
During Raid Days or Community Days, ALWAYS activate a Max Level Mega of matching type to farm 40–80+ bonus Candy XL!
Dynamax, Gigantamax & Power Spot Combat
Dynamax and Gigantamax battles occur at Power Spots using Max Particles (MP):
Daily MP Cap: Collect up to 800 MP daily by visiting Power Spots and walking 2 km intervals.
Max Moves: Each Dynamax Pokémon features 3 Max Moves: Max Attack, Max Guard (reduces incoming damage for the entire team), and Max Spirit (heals entire team HP!). Upgrading Max Spirit and Max Guard is essential for conquering heavy 3★ and 6★ Gigantamax bosses.
